PRODUCT SUMMARY
The 'Shark' necklace is part of the 'Mako' collection. This has been created and innovated by British designer and Brighton based, Chris Hawkins. The 'Inspired by the perfectly evolving beauty of natures predators' concept of the men's jewellery range has influenced Hawkins' use of such designs as sharks teeth, stingray skin and skulls.
The necklace has been constructed from dark brown, smoothed, genuine leather. The length of the men's necklace sits st 46cm long and 3mm wide, it also has a round profile. The leather fastens securely around the wearer's neck using a 925 silver lobster claw clasp which caps the natural material. It has been designed as a short hang style necklace.
Suspended from the necklace is a 925, solid silver pendant. The pendant measures 2.5cm long and 2cm wide. The silver has been designed to emanate the shape and look of a shark's tooth. The symmetrical, tapering design has been elegantly cut. The technical curves and recesses of the silver have been enhanced and highlighted with the use of oxidisation; darkening the surface.
The pendant connects to the leather necklace using a silver, circular ring bail. This attachment along with the clasp, coordinates with the finish given to the pendant. It is features such as these, along with the beautifully cut silver pendant that showcase the technical and design ability of Chris Hawkins.
