The British designer behind the Assassin men's jewellery range, Chris Campbell, exploits the urban textures and lines as inspiration for his designs. The 'Acid' rosary showcases both Campbell's concept and technical design ability.
The Latin style rosary is constructed from 925 silver elongated links which suspend solid silver, 5mm in diameter, beads. The chain securely fastens using a large silver lobster clasp and sits at 58cm in length. In the centre of the chain there is a silver triangular junction in which the extended length sits. This extension is 4cm long.
Sitting at the end of this chain is a 2.4cm long and 1.4cm wide silver cross. This classic style rosary has been challenged by Assassin with each bead and the cross being designed to look as if it has been degraded on one side with acid. This effect allows the surface to become textured and individualised.
